CHOON remains in pole position to take on music industry.
CHOON, the biggest music streaming service on the blockchain has posted impressive figures in a medium article by founder Gareth Emery (released today). CHOON now has 15,000 registered users and boasts an impressive daily upload rate of 200–400 tracks per day. This demonstrates that CHOON is a solid and reliable platform and will continue to grow rapidly over the next few months. CHOON NOTES tokens are due to be unlocked on the 1st of December.
What's interesting about CHOON is that the team are committed to building an eco-system on CHOON using the NOTES tokens which will help artists create music and remain active in the industry. The team also thinks very carefully about market conditions and the importance of building a strong community of artists. A number of artists including the likes of Darude are former chart toppers indicating the calibre of artist on the platform.
CHOON is a hybrid concept leveraging the power of the Ethereum blockchain to assist in allocating tokens via smart contracts whilst the catalogue and music streaming system is dealt with centrally. This has proven a hit as the system is very stable and can handle a heavy workload. It became clear, evidenced by Musicoin, that the Ethereum blockchain couldn't handle music streaming and smart contract functionality effectively without delays and that it would be a few years before the blockchain could handle large amount of live media processing.

Thank you very much.
Maybe I'm wrong but I do not think that choon is yet in the blockchain properly. And musicians have not get payed from streaming yet. There is a promise maybe in december you said, but for the moment choon is like bandcamp, a free music platform without payout.
They only use the same Musicoin smart contract model and put playlist like Spotify.
But this is easy to do out of the blockchain. There is a lot of streming platform in this world.
For the moment they are centralised yet, it means that the value that you are creating with your music you are not sure to receive it, you cannot dispose yet. Imagine that in december they said that ICO do not acheive the goal, or worst they do not be able to realised, or maybe you discover it was a scam.
For the moment I cannot compare Choon with Musicoin. I'll be glad to be wrong and in december start compare them. Because the goal is always the same : to give to music his real value, to give to musicians and composers a raisonable compensation for their hard work.
At least 2 ct of dollar
I prefere what is sure today, to what is promised to be best tomorrow. Expecially in the crypto world.
Thank you very much to believe in music
