Throwback: Slipknot at Dynamo Open Air 2000 (Video)
One of my favorite past-times is checking out old sets and festival videos. Music was such a different animal before the internet took off- No ones cell phone is in the air... just you, the band, and thousands of other people doing absolutely insane.
A great set of videos I like to revisit is Dynamo Open Air- a heavy music fest that was held in the Netherlands from the mid 80s to 2005. It was really well documented at one point, so there is a lot of great footage and full band sets on YouTube. I hope one day they'll dump out the archive and make everything available to watch.
Here is SLIPKNOT's set from the year 2000. Right after they put out the earth-shattering self titled. Awesome to see these guys in their physical prime going crazy-- Bumbling around with pure angst. Amazing.

They were busting their asses at inhuman levels back then with touring and then recording Iowa.
Yeah they definitely kept the ball rolling in the craziest way with "Iowa" as a follow up record. I've listened to Clown on a podcast talk about early Slipknot and they were literally insane.
