Shamisen Sheet Music
There may be some of you out there familiar with this, but I figure anyone who has any level of experience with music should appreciate this. Shamisens are a three stringed traditional Japanese instrument, and this is an example of sheet music that goes with it. We are so used to talking about music as a universal language both written and sound, when in fact the music notation and tunings we never even realize can be questioned have only been standardized to Western formats in relatively recent (well musically speaking) history. Just look into how A was standardized to 440hz. I like seeing this because it is an example of how music can be expressed and notated in a different accepted format. Scales and tunings of course varied throughout history and between locations, so this may be something that can't be exactly transposed into the standard sheet music most of us are accustomed to.
Anyway I have no idea how to play, other than guessing by trying to match the numbers to the neck. Apparently rhythm information is notated as well.
