Today is National TV Dinner Day !
I remember having TV dinners when I was a kid. Before the Microwave oven… my dad would buy Salisbury Steak TV Dinners in these tin foil trays. I guess we heated them in the oven ?
I wonder how many people blew up their first Microwave ovens with old TV Dinners…
The mashed potatoes, the gravy, and the peas were always way too hot. We would get Turkey, Chicken, but the Salisbury steak was everyone’s favourite…
We would gather around the TV and watch Planet of the Apes or Lost in Space or something like that. Maybe Gilligans Island or the Munsters … eating our Salisbury Steak TV Dinners and drinking our cream Soda or Root Beers from the Pop Shop.
Anyway, I know what we are having for dinner tonight. Either TV Dinners or Pizza.
I think Pizza is the ultimate TV Dinner.
