New Album Review "Ye"

Kanye sounds like he's going through a lot. The production is solid, as the kids say, "he's got beats on beats!", but lyrically it lacks content. The album is 7 songs approximately 25 minutes which is short enough to expect nothing but straight fire. But to be honestly it is far from a classic. As a longtime ye fan I was hesitant to listen to the album, out of fear of being disappointed. After listening to it, it kinda remind me of Yeezus, nothing special. My favorite song on the album would have to be "All Mine" its upbeat, easy mix in for a DJ. Least favorite would be the intro "I thought about killing you", by the time his rant is over you're over it and on to the next song. He just does too much talking during the album for my taste. Talking about nonsense at that. Example "Yikes" at least 45 secs of the song is him spasin about fuckin with himself. I think Kanye felt that he worked hard enough on the production side, that he didn't have to deliver lyrically leaving this album lacking.
