On January 26, 1970, Simon & Garfunkel's last Studio album was released. The work, called Bridge Over Troubled Water, has gained immense popularity, received a lot of flattering reviews and in retrospect is seen as one of the enduring masterpieces of musical culture of the second half of the XX century.
This Duo of school friends constantly converged and diverged, achieving some fame in the United States. He would have remained one of many, if any of their album that became their last and made them global superstars. Since then, they have nothing really new and not recorded, with a rehash of those songs – until now!
What was before this album? Suddenly became popular their song in a new electronic arrangement-The Sounds of Silence, and had a resounding success of their song from the movie "Graduate" - Mrs. Robinson.
The proposed composition from this album - El Condor Pasa (If I Could) was originally written by Peruvian composer Daniel Robles on the basis of traditional folk melodies. On the instrumental part Simon wrote new words.
