Perchè l'Hip Hop ha radicalmente cambiato il mondo della musica? ( Why did Hip Hop have radically changed the world of music?)

L'Hip Hop è un movimento musicale/culturale nato intorno gli anni 70 , gli artisti più influenti del movimento sono stati DJ Kool Herc e Dj Africa Bambata che grazie a delle vere e proprie feste organizzate per strada "Block Party" infuocavano le giornate dei giovani Afroamericani e Latinoamericani che si incontravano per suonare , ballare , cantare e fare Writing su i muri dei quartieri
più disparati.
Le influenze che hanno contribuito a far nascere l'Hip hop sono numerose , partendo dal principio , " l'arte del rapping " nasce dall'esigenza di usare delle parole in rima seguendo uno schema tempistico basati sul 4/4 prendendo spunto dal toasting ( stile di canto degli artisti Giamaicani che all'epoca usavano intrattenere la gente che veniva a ballare nelle Dancehall) e dal Griot.

Giamaicana in America , precisamente a New York si diffuse questa straordinaria usanza del cantato in rima offerto dall'Mc (Master of Ceremonies). Da qui incomincia a crescere la voglia di esibirsi , farsi valere , dimostrare la propria bravura , perciò si incomincia a sentir parlare delle Battle.
Le Battle sono delle sorta di incontri , fra due o più Mc , che servono a stabilire chi degli Mc's in competizione è il più dotato tecnicamente , ovviamente con il giudizio di alcuni giudici e del pubblico. E' il momento dove tutti gli Mc's si misurano e con il tempo migliorano le tecniche e gli stili.
Con il passare degli anni si è diversificato il ruole dell'Mc dividendosi in chi faceva il Dj , chi il rapper , ma la cultura Hip hop ormai era inarrestabile , tant'è chè è diventata uno dei generi più influenti del continente Americano.
Artisti del calibro di Run Dmc , Rakim , KRS One , Dj Premier ,Nwa , Wu Tang Clan, Eminem , Snoop Dogg , Tupac e Notorious hanno influito tantissimo in questo genere portano avanti nel mondo questa cultura, molti ormai non ci sono più , altri continuano la loro attività in maniera egregia.

Con il Djing la musica acquisisce spettacolo , i Dj incominciano a creare tecniche di mixaggio e di selezione , aggiungendo l'uso dell'ormai famosissima arte dello scratch e al junggling due tecniche diverse ma entrambe spettacolari.
Il juggling non è altro che una rapido mixaggio di tracce di diverso genere o anche simile in tempi accorciati , evitando di annoiare la gente e facendo esaltare la bravura di mixaggio del Dj stesso , mentre la scratch (l'arte di manipolare in maniera ritmica un vinile ) invece è stato inventato da uno dei Dj pionieri dell'Hip Hop Grand Wizard Theodore che sviluppò la tecnica da Grandmasterflash.
Fra i più famosi Dj possiamo trovare : DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Premier , Gang Starr , DJ Muggs (Cypress Hill) Eric B , DJ Qbert, Dr. Dre degli NWA e Terminator X dei Public Enemy.

Il Writing è una delle discipline che rende l'hip hop magnifico , si incomincia a disegnare nelle metro della città con l'uso delle vernici spray , inizialmente usando la tecnica di firma chiamata tag , dopo poi diventate lettere elaborate con sfumature di colore e ombreggiature , diventando con il tempo una vera e propria arte.

Con gli anni questa cultura ha incominciato ad esprimere le sue varie sfaccettature ed uno segli artisti più bravi e criticati ha reso quest'arte una delle dimostrazioni di arte migliori al mondo , e conseguentemente una delle più difficili da ostacolare.
