The most humble love songs can't be covered ! PART 1 !
These songs, in my opinion, are so delicately pure and humble.
I shared some beautiful moments with the love of my life, listening to these songs.
"The Beatles, Something" is really one of the most beautiful love songs ever:
"John Lennon, Woman", what I love about this song is it's simplicity and avoiding to be over the top in case of its content. Hence the title "Woman", John Lennon is hugely imaginative in his lyrics. For example "Across The Universe", but in "Woman", we share his simple words about LOVE.
"Bob Dylan, Lay Lady Lay", many artists attempt to cover this song, but the original version has a quality that happens to very few songs. That quality is the exact character of every audible element that happened during the song. Think about the soft Hawaiian guitar and the gentle groove of the percussions and the very soft Hammond organ. You can NOT change even one note in the whole song. The song is perfect, and the lyric is so down to earth, yet, you can feel the love of the protagonist when he tells about his dirty clothes but clean hands.
"Jackson Browne, Somebody's baby"
"The Moody Blues, Had To Fall In Love"
"Dionne Warwick, Say A Little Prayer", While many people know the Aretha version, The original one is very pure.
