FYI: The song Stand By Me was the sixth highest earning song as of that time earning over 17 million pounds most of which went to Ben E King, the writer and lead singer. A movie was also made with that title, using the song as the background theme.

Just have to add this - Stand By Me was the original song used by Playing For Change, which brought musicians together from all over the world by splicing together their distant performances into one video.
