influence of music in learning for student part#1

in #music6 years ago

Music provides many benefits for humans or students such as stimulating the mind, increasing concentration and memory, improving cognitive aspects, building emotional intelligence, etc.

Music can also balance the functions of the right brain and left brain, which means balancing the development of intellectual and emotional aspects. Students who get music education if they are adults will be logical, smart, creative, and able to make decisions, and have empathy. However, formal education in Indonesia does not emphasize the balance between intellectual and emotional aspects.

This ideal situation can be implemented by making improvements to improve Indonesian human resources through music education curriculum as compulsory subjects at elementary and junior high school level.

Background

All developed countries in the world such as Germany, America, Japan, Britain, Australia and Australia

European countries in general are music countries. The definition of the musical meant here is first to be able to play a musical instrument or sing well, the second meaning is that you cannot play music or sing well, but can appreciate music.

Students in grades 1 to 4 in the United States get a lesson

75 minutes of music every week, since grade 5 they get music lessons for 80 minutes. Therefore, they have been able to make choirs with settings that are difficult for three sounds and can play several musical instruments. At the junior high school level they deepen selected music lessons and hold shows.

Their secondary school level has been enhanced with an emphasis on concert forms. Therefore, they have been able to compose a highly developed music program by making one or two choirs together. Most schools there have special music rooms, as well as in Australia.

In the UK, kindergarten-aged children who are below average read, can chase their friends in an average group after they are enriched with additional music lessons, they learn to sing in groups through training in tone and rhythm accompanied by sensitivity training emotional, a program that is very structured and can be enjoyed by children.

Many Japanese universities have the Symphony orchestra as

advanced music lessons they received in elementary, middle and upper schools.

Likewise all leading schools include music subjects as compulsory curricular material and enriched with extracurricular activities, where the material of music lessons taught includes universal music and traditional music, it seems that the results of high school students are also very good on average. .

But the national curriculum in Indonesia only emphasizes intellectual development and is less concerned with the development of emotional intelligence. This can be seen from the many lessons at the junior and senior high school level, elementary school students are burdened with the density of subjects that must be remembered and that must be done so that learning eliminates children's cheerfulness during its development.

It seems that in the curriculum (1994) that applies, this aspect of balance has not

fulfilled. The formal education curriculum in Indonesia only emphasizes development

only intellectual and does not pay attention to the development of emotional intelligence. Seeing the allocation of music lessons every week is only 2 x 45 minutes, (GBPP 1994 art lesson curriculum) which is still divided into dance, fine arts, and craft subjects.

Aim

This paper aims to inform science about role theory

Important music education is provided in integral education so students can

obtain a balance of left and right brain function which is humanist education. Look for solutions to correct deviations in the moral crisis that occur in school students. Contributing ideas for curriculum makers from the Ministry of National Education to include music education into the national curriculum at the primary education level.

Music contributions are stimulating the brain, saying that important art education is taught starting from the elementary school level so students from the beginning get balanced stimulation between the left hemisphere and the right brain hemisphere.

If they are able to use the functions of the two hemispheres in a balanced manner, then if they are adults they will be people who think logically and intuitively, and are intelligent, creative, honest, and sharp in their feelings.

Study implementation, art education when in elementary school is affected

success of further education studies. So, it is assumed so

Art education in elementary schools is a determining factor in improving the quality of human resources.
