Innings Festival

Just wrapped up a great weekend in Arizona at the first Innings Festival. I originally went essentially as a gift to my girlfriend to let her see the bands in the lineup she was excited about (Lord Huron, Coldwar Kids, etc) but I ended up having a great time as well. Queens of the Stone Age headlined the first night and were fantastic, as were the Avett Brothers the next night. The baseball themed games around the park were a good time killer and the security was good enough to keep weapons out of the festival while lenient enough to let us sneak in some alcohol. All in all very well put together especially for a first time festival, and at half the price of the majority that are going on every year. If there's a second one I would recommend going.
