“Medicine,” by Rising Appalachia… (Folk / World / Soul – Music to Your Ears–9)

Rising Appalachia – “Medicine”
"Medicine” (2015)
This song celebrates traditional healers – the medicine men and medicine women of various traditions whose natural therapies and remedies are well proven, but almost forgotten.Healing and Thriving
It does not disparage or even discuss science-based medicine. Instead, it calls on us to realize and remember the bounties of nature, and to understand that herbal treatments can as beneficial as scientific cures. Moreover, in many cases, plant-based medicine can be more effective, both in healing and in ensuring well-being.Rising Appalachia
The New Orleans-based band Rising Appalachia is led by 2 sisters, Leah and Chloe Smith. They invite various other musicians to participate in the group, incorporating everything from standard folk instruments such as the banjo and the fiddle to more exotic instruments such as the tabla, the didgeridoo, and the djembe. From the Basement to the World
The band originated one afternoon in 2015, when Leah and Chloe decided to record an album in the basement studio belonging to a friend of theirs. It was so well received that they decided to officially form a band.Their music spans the range from folk music to urban music. Furthermore, as they travelled the world, they’ve been exposed to and influenced by the folk and traditional music of various other cultures.
DIY
Rising Appalachia remains essentially an independent band that operates outside of the music industry. Their first 4 albums were self-produced and self-funded, and for their 5th album, in 2011, they also raised funds through a crowd-funding site. To stand firm in loving defiance, make art your alliance
Give voice to the fire Move people to the beat of the wind
Gather yourself and begin, to dance the song until it ends
We are winners, champions of the light
Forming in numbers and might, keep the truth close in sight Medicine Woman, Medicine Man
Walking with grace, I know your face, and I trust your hands
Medicine Woman, Medicine Man
Walking with grace, I know your face, and I trust your hands Find your teachers in the voice of the forests
Unplug you can't ignore this, wisdom of the voiceless
Remedies are bountiful and surround us
From the garden to the farthest, prayers made of star dust Find your healing in the music that calls you
The voice that enthralls you, what do you belong to?
Eyes out! There's the setting of the sun
Give thanks to each and everyone The lesson is the Medicine Woman, Medicine Man
Walking with grace I know your face, and I trust your hands
Medicine Woman, Medicine Man
Walking with grace, I know your face, and I trust your hands I believe in bending backwards and extending
My traps trip back until the message is in action
The yard is feeding, stop stark the disbelieving
'Cause the garden holds the shards, the medicine is in the seeds when We hold tight to our right to protect and
We know our might is ten fold in connection
Our elders hold them bright lights, we protect them
The medicine is evident: the wolf, the hawk, the bear clan We hold tight to our right to protect and
We know our might is ten fold in connection
Our elders hold them bright lights, we protect them
The medicine is evident: the wolf, the hawk, the bear clan Medicine Woman, Medicine Man
Walking with grace, I know your face, and I trust your hands
Medicine Woman, Medicine Man

I cannot listen to this music now but the lyrics are great and inspiring. Thanks for sharing.
And thank you for reading and listening ... circumstances permitting.
Enjoy the factory!
Hahaha sure I will enjoy it. Do have a great day sir.
@majes.tytyty instan upvote now do not pay reward , all reward goes to reward pool and burn fix 25% curation now please do not spoil others money too
Rest assured, it is never my intention to "spoil others money." As you can see from the DETAILS of the LAST BID, everyone came in at a profit.
What a beautiful ladies and song! Loving the lyrics and above all the ways they rap...
Right. The lyrics are very interesting, and the music is very pleasant. Oh, and the ladies are very beautiful.
A little friendly recommendation.
Your bid on therising was so high that you didn't get the full curation of 25% plus profit. Because you were bidding after the others. Suggestion for the future to avoid losing out bid significantly less (like have the bot can give you) which would have been at the time 73-(44.70 other bid + 18 curation and 6.70 'profit 15%') = $4 , 4 , 4 / 1.4 = $2.5.... had you bid that you would have spent less and got a profitable return on your investment....
As it presently stands your going to take a small lose....As will I!
You could always bid on another bot ir you wanted to get more upvotes or buy from the market to get a good return.
When you over vote you don't just throw your money away, whch you can do if you want. But you also waste others money.
I hope this was helpful.
Thanks for your input. But I don't understand what you are trying to say. Clearly, if you look at the "Bid Value" of each bidder, and compare that with the "Vote Value," everyone is in profit. In fact, the biggest bid earned a profit of over $8.
I realize one cannot always make a profit from the bid bots, but with a bit of study and regular bids, one can do quite well in the long run.
And as for always making the highest ROI (in this case, of 25%), it's very rare that any bidder can make such a profit. In fact, it's almost unheard of.
It's great when one can do so, but to expect it, and to expect that certain Steemians will refrain from bidding just so that others can get a guaranteed 25%, is rather presumptuous.
Rising Appalachia, sounds nice and relaxing
Thanks.
