The only info I could find about this track is from its YouTube page, which states that this piece was recorded “live in Casco Viejo, Panama, 2015.”

The only other statement I can add is from one of the commenters, who wrote, “This is pure music.”

City of the Sun

Founded in New York City in 2011, City of the Sun now comprises a unique trio of 2 acoustic guitarists and a percussionist. The band spent much time during their formative years busking on the streets of NYC.  

Today, their popularity is such that they play at major venues and events. Nevertheless, to this day, they still occasionally set up in a public space and start jamming.    _{(Image source)}

For an acoustic trio, the music is surprisingly full, rich and resonant. In fact, the band’s facebook page characterizes them as a “powerhouse trio.”  On “In the Beginning,”  the trio expresses such power that it sometimes seems as if the music is coming from a 10-piece, fully plugged-in and amped-up band.   

City of the Sun released its first EP in 2014. In 2016, it released it first full-length debut album, which entered the Billboard Jazz Chart at Number 12.   _{(Image source)}
