And as always there will be playlists at the very bottom of the text and they are always getting updated!!
Now get your goggles 'cause we are about to head dive into the nerd pool!
What Is External Workflow ?
External Workflow is distinct from the Internal part in the sense that this reacts on the outside rather than the inside.
This can for example be the essential elements needed for jamming with friends and getting the right appeal of the listener.
Basically External Workflow is more about being focused on the sound and at the same time focus on the aesthetics of the track, or live performance.
External Workflow
If you have ever been producing a track or just played a lot of music, you eventually catch your self thinking weather it is good or not.
Therefore having a pair of fresh ears is always good, let alone having a lot of different projects at hand, for blockade days as well.
But extra projects aside, a fresh pair of ears can be super awesome to have with you at times really.
I suggest having a couple of passive listeners and also a couple of active listeners to fill in he feedback box of yours.
The good thing about having the passive listeners is that you get the perspectives from what, I guess you can call the consumer.
By getting the consumers own opinions or reactions, you will be able to adjust the track in not only the aesthetics, but a whole other number of critics.
The same goes for the active listeners, which can vary from either musicians, producers, sound-technestions or what have you, but on a more nerdy level, needless to say.
Now you can water-down the feedback from both camps into a mixed bowl of feedback.
And I can say already that this method is pretty effective since most of the time both of the groups says mostly the same thing but with unique variations.
But it is important to keep in mind, that it is only something to adjust for more aesthetics and have a workflow dedicated for achieving appeal.
But keep it to your own style, stay true.
(Having hooks in tracks is also a cool way to get people on board on the vibe, but I will be dedicating a whole post about hooks and what it is for next time.
So stay tuned for that one!)
