Morktra - Of The Gorge (A Tale Of The Rio Grande Gorge)
Greetings Fellow Steemians and Dtubers!
I wrote a song before the current open mic entitled "Of The Gorge". It's about the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge outside of Taos New Mexico. People are constantly jumping from the bridge as a method of permanent escape from their pain.

Several jumpers per year choose this beautiful spot for their final destination. If you're struggling with this sort of depression, there's always hope. Remember at the bottom there's only one direction to go, up!

In the land of the so called free

Bridging land and memory of human suffering
Sits a bridge of bending each side of this scar

It's a beautiful state and the lack of people and that beauty pulled me to it. I write a lot of sad songs and also suffer from depression. I gotta say the sadness that would drive someone to fling themselves from this bridge disturbs me greatly,

That's the one thing I could tell someone who was so hopeless that they'd jump off the bridge is that there's always hope in this life as long as you have a pulse.
