The Streets of Rock
Marseille is a city of sun and music
Yesterday, another great music event occured: the Streets of Rock (Les rues du Rock). Dozens of small gigs were played in the streets...for free! Marseille loves rock music, and yesterday its streets were filled with joy, dance, coarse voices and amazing drummers. This was a great occasion to discover local rock bands, the most interesting of them was Harmonic Generators. Check them out!
I think they create really good instrumentals and interesting grunge drums rhythms.
Free music events in Marseille are a big thing. From June to late September, the Friche de la Belle de Mai opens its rooftop to offer evenings of free music and beautiful sunsets. People of Marseille deserve it!
Anywhere you'll go in Marseille, you'll hear music. La Plaine is the artsy, young and Carribean area, there's always a rasta man playing reggae. And if it's not a rasta man, it's a radio.
Every kind of music has its place in Marseille.
What kind of music do you like ?
