Im doing a series on steemit about under appreciated artist, mostly rappers so I dont know if you do that kind of thing but maybe you would want to take a look at my selections and you tell me what you think of them because your the professional thanks.

I'd love to!!! I do mostly covers with me playing piano and singing. Hope you like them!

Count me among them. I'm fascinated to learn about how people make a living in the music world today, and I'm always impressed by good singing. (Good thing the piano was my instrument of choice because I'm tone-deaf. I could never play something I had to tune myself (like my own vocal cords).)

How awesome!!! Nice to meet you :) How long have you been playing piano?

I studied pretty seriously all through high school (which was ahem over 20 years ago). Then burnt out when I pondered the competitiveness of music as a career. It's just been a hobby since then, and my piano is woefully out of tune. Thankfully I don't really notice.

What led you to a career in music?

I've played piano since I was 6. I actually wanted to quit when I was in 5th grade, but luckily my mom pushed me to keep playing until I left high school. By my Junior year, I knew I wanted to sing, play, and teach. Plus, I loved theatre, so I went to school to combine them all. Now I run my own voice and piano studio at 33 years old, and I couldn't be happier. :)

I'm thankful my parents never let me quit!

Good for you!

If I'd known how close we were to the era of digital recording and sharing, I probably would have stuck with it. (Although it's still not too late, I suppose.)

It's never too late! To quote my favorite movie, Vanilla Sky, "Everything passing moment in another chance to turn it all around."

(I'm cheesy, I know! Lol)
