Devils Swill - Necromancer
Necromancer is the 3rd track written and recorded for the Heavy Metal Album by Devils Swill entitled, Seven String One.
This song was originally written about people in my life who have died, I have recently had some very close calls with my dearest loved ones. Which is not a very fun topic, so I morphed it into a story that is just as senseless as death in this world.
It is about a dark mage, who has learned the way of necromancy. The mage has been preying on the people of several small villages for hundreds, if not thousands of years. The mage uses dark magic to work with the dead, but also to extend its own life. Throughout the track we refer to the mage as it, because it is neither male or female anymore.
The people of these villages are starting to realize what has been going on for so long, and they are sick of it.
They are pissed about the loss of life this mage has caused, they want to live free from its darkness, and they are planning a way out. Which is a very tricky feat, indeed.
This is very aggressive, very loud music, that is NOT SAFE FOR WORK.
