Learning Neo-Soul Chords Over The Weekend
Excellent video by Jeff Schneider on Youtube. I was thinking of learning something new in music since I've been out of it for close to 8 months now (thanks Steemit lol). Whipping out my gears and setting up again to try out some neo-soul stuff over the week! It's gonna be difficult since I'm not a piano man.
That is one awesome chord progression. I was wondering what the heck it was going to be. I think I will transpose this to guitar as he explains it so well
Yeah try it man! Send me a sample of your recording too :)
If I get it down pat then yeah!
Here's a great selection of those vibes :)
Ah that's cool! Subscribed to that!!
Ah, interesting but a little too dissonant and "jazzy" for me.
Of course, I suppose were I to listen to this long enough and often enough, I could learn to love it. ;) :) 😄😇😄
Lol , I'm really not sure where I've developed a taste for very dissonant stuff. I guess it's the japanese pop jazz and stuff that used to be played around here xD
For me, I guess growing up with folk music - Peter, Paul, and Mary - and folk rockers like Simon and Garfunkel, has just imprinted my brain.
I do like hearing (and being surprised by) new chord progressions. The chord progression that comes to mind is Leonard Cohen's amazing "Hallelujah."
Ah my favourite song :) and I dig into all those that you've mentioned as well. My mother always have them on loop in the car. Fond memories :)
