RE: The Rich, Deep Essence Of Hip Hop Culture (And Magical Ways Music Touches The Soul)...
Believe me, we do have great Hip Hop & culture today in 2017. Anything that isn't good like that, or doesn't give you that feeling, isn't hip Hop! I listen to a radio show called Hip Hop Philosophy radio, and he spends the week collating amazing NEW hip hop & playing it for a few hours on a Monday, it's called Monday Night Fresh. I love that Stretch & Bobbito doco too. I first fell in love with Hip hop here in New Zealand listening to mixtapes by DJ's. That was the only way I could hear good music coming from the states. I first heard a mixtape by DJ Reminise, and on that was a song by Nice & Smooth called "Sometimes I rhyme Slow" I think that was the first hip Hop song I learnt all the words to. We had Hip Hop summits here in the early 2000's too which further confirmed my love for Hip Hop. It's one of those most beautiful yet misunderstood cultures. You either have it or you don't. Some good new artists & groups releasing good music today that I like are, Mello Soul Black, Last Jazz Club, Insight The truncator, Jess The Facts. Here is the mixcloud for Hip hop Philosophy Radio with all their shows on. Great post thank you! I love Hip Hop <3
niiiice.appreciate the share! been a while since I've come across any really new inspiring hip hop. am sure will be making my through those archived shows for a while... :-)
Thanks :) Enjoy!!
