A Music Producers Nightmare

I have been producing music for about 10 years. I have recorded bands, rappers, solo artist, eBooks, Commercials, and everything in between. I love music and I definitely feel lucky to have a job in music...
....but all musicians and producers know that there is a dark side to the music industry
One thing producers hate..... unprepared artists. Sometimes this can slide. Lets say they want to expand a song in the studio.... This is fine. but...
I cannot tell you how many times an artist comes (mostly rappers in this case) and they didn't write any lyrics.....yes I said it..... THEY DIDN'T WRITE ANYTHING..... The entire point of being in a recording studio..... IS TO RECORD SOMETHING YOU WROTE! Some of these artist decide they are going to come into the studio and record a hit by doing a freestyle
I know you might think your favorite rapper does this.... reality check
THEY DO NOT
They might release a freestyle here and there, but it is VERY rare that an artist will come into the studio with nothing and leave with a hit song. It just doesn't happen.
All great music takes a process of writing and producing. This doesn't happen overnight. Take your time when you go to the studio but DO NOT show up with nothing prepared. It is annoying and you should stop.
