Silhouette Cities – Featured Artist

in #music6 years ago

Silhouette Cities is what I like to call “post grunge”. I actually grew up in the era of grunge and I enjoyed every minute of it. Now that it’s been some 20-25 years since that genre has quietly slipped away, history again repeats itself and it’s making a loud comeback. Enter the featured artist of the week hailing from East Coast, USA.

Silhouette Cities

They say they hail from the Mid-Atlantic simply because the band is spread out over a few cities on the east coast. The band is currently playing random gigs in and around that area, but hope to do more soon. They released No Worse For The Wear last year and boy is it good! The best part about the music is the songs are fairly simple and easy to listen to. No math rock here, folks, just groovy guitar driven riff-rock with clean understandable vocals on top. For me, this is the perfect storm.

SEO wizard by day, Phil Saraceno seems to be the driving force behind the band. I was instantly drawn to the band’s music because of it’s distinct grungy sound. One of the things I reallllly like about the band is that they’re not trying too hard to be something they’re not. They are real guys making real music and just letting it be that, music.
