GoLian – An Old Dog Shows Some New Tricks
GoLian seems like an old friend. We’ve been working with him for a few months now on and off promoting and reviewing his music. Paul Golian has a “this song was written by my dad” sound. I don’t mean that as a criticism. I mean that Paul’s music is warm and familiar and growing better with age.
In conversations with Paul I get a sense he is a genuine guy trying to make music the best way he can. He’s retired and is returning to music after an extended break.
The music of GoLian is simple. It’s to the point. In private conversations he’s admitted he’s not especially happy with his production. Hey, everyone is on a budget and uses what they have to in order to get by. I think Paul is managing pretty darn good seeing that he was “out of music” for almost 30 years. Welcome back!
Just glancing the title of the post,
I imagined that 'an old DOG' will perform some music. ^__^
