I share with you the presentation of the album "Voz que soledad sonando" live in 2003 at the “Casa natal de Jovellanos”. This particular time of the concert, in which we are appearing together Angel Gonzalez and I, along with Mario Bernardo, has for me a significance that goes beyond the professional, becoming a memory of affection and admiration to the great poet and friend. Apart from the audiovisual document, attached the text of Angel Gonzalez that he wrote as a presentation of the physical disk edited in that same year.

This disc is made on the proposal of Joaquín Pixán; a proposal that I, connoisseur of his professionalism and their solvency as singer, I didn't hesitate to accept. He was the one who designed it in its guidelines, who assemble a group of remarkable composers and the achievement to give them interest in my poetry, and who chose the interpreters who have accompanied him on this company. This is a collective project that, to be carried out, demanded many hours of work and a large dose of enthusiasm. To all those who participated in that endeavor I express to you my gratitude, and very particularly to Joaquín Pixán, whose voice is the main exponent, last and admirable of the project that he himself devised.
I will not say to say what it is and contains this disk. I fear that, if I did, it would incur in ambiguities even more disturbing than useful for the auditor. I suppose that it is not easy to put music to the words; put words to the music seems to me to be even more difficult. And I would like to say that the music is a reality elusive or ineffable, impossible therefore to translate with words. The music can only be explained in its own language. You cannot say what is the music or one music; those who want to know that must listen.
Because what is an ineffable reality, perhaps the words of poets the only that, in their imaginative approaches will enable us to intuit with more depth the secret and the mystery of the music. "Who sings converts the words in birds", wrote Benjamín Prado. It is not bad. This verse suggests a very accurate surprise, the height and the evanescent beauty that can reach the words when a good song returns them to their native site that is the air. I had already said by another poet: "The words are air and go to the air". My words are there again in the high space in which now places the splendid voice of Joaquín Pixán.

Este momento concreto del concierto, en el que aparecemos juntos Ángel González y yo, acompañados al piano por Mario Bernardo, tiene para mí un significado que va más allá de lo profesional, convirtiéndose en un recuerdo de cariño y admiración hacia el gran poeta y amigo. "Quien canta convierte las palabras en pájaros". Benjamín Prado
Este disco se hizo a propuesta de Joaquín Pixán; una propuesta que yo, conocedor de su profesionalidad y de su solvencia como cantante, no vacilé en aceptar. EI fue quien lo diseño en sus líneas maestras, quien convoco a un grupo de notables compositores y logro interesarlos en mi poesía, y quien eligió a los intérpretes que lo acompañan en esta empresa. Se trata de un proyecto colectivo que, para realizarse, exigió muchas horas de trabajo y grandes dosis de entusiasmo. A todos los que participaron en tal empeño quiero manifestarles mi gratitud, y muy especialmente a Joaquín Pixán, cuya voz es el exponente principal, último y admirable del proyecto que él mismo ideó.
No voy a opinar yo acerca de lo que es y contiene este disco. Temo que, si lo hiciera, acabaría incurriendo en vaguedades más perturbadoras que útiles para el auditor. Supongo que no es fácil poner música a las palabras; poner palabras a la música me parece aun más difícil. Y quiero decir que la música es una realidad inasible o inefable, imposible por lo tanto de traducir con palabras. La música solo se explica en su propio lenguaje. No se puede decir lo que es la música o una música; quien quiera saberlo que la escuche.
Pues lo que se trata de una realidad inefable, quizá sean las palabras de los poetas las únicas que, en sus aproximaciones imaginativas, nos permitan intuir con más hondura el secreto y el misterio de la música. "Quien canta convierte las palabras en pájaros", escribió Benjamín Prado. No está mal. Ese verso sugiere de manera muy certera la sorpresa, la altura y la belleza evanescente que pueden alcanzar las palabras cuando una buena canción las devuelve a su sitio que es el aire. Ya lo había dicho otro poeta: "las palabras son aire y van al aire". Allí están de nuevo mis palabras, en el alto espacio en el que ahora las sitúa la esplendida voz de Joaquín Pixán.
