The History and Evolution of Ska Music (Podcast)

in #music8 years ago (edited)

For a period of time earlier this year, I had the opportunity to be involved in a really fun and meaningful music podcast project called The Vault.

In-Depth Musical Genre Talks

I wanted to bring something different to the table when I joined the team at The Vault, and one of those things was to sit down with people who could teach Master Classes on a particular genre of music. To go beyond the basics.

Ska Primer

Just about everything you'd ever want to know about Ska as a genre is discussed in this podcast--from its roots in Jamaica to its travel across the seas both to the U.K. and the US, and also discussed the potentials and possibilities within Fourth Wave Ska. I sat down with Robert Bailey of Robert Bailey and The Springfield Famous; the "greatest Ska band in all the Springfields," and we talked about all things Ska history.

One more thing:

Thank you for always being so awesome. I greatly appreciate your Upvotes, Resteems, Follows, and Comments.
