Ever Hear of ITIS?

There is a band primarily based in Colorado Springs that has been around for years. The are barely know by name but well known by sound. you might know the song 'Hey Stoner' from the 90s when you rarely hear it on the radio. Most radio stations that do a 4:20 spot will play this song. They were told years ago they would not make it further than just a bar band. I know they did international tours for years based on the stories I know know. They do reunion shows once or twice a year for fun or benefits.

I got introduced to the music about 10 years ago or maybe 15 years now. I wasn't local to Colorado at the time. I loved the humor of it. I moved to Colorado about 7 years ago and I got into the music scene a couple years later. I didn't know for years of living in Colorado Springs that I personally knew the members. About 2 years hanging out with my musician friends and they said I should go to the ITIS show. I was excited to go always wanted to see them sense the first time I heard them.

I went to the show and was helping friends load equipment in thinking a different band was playing with them. After settling in and getting a drink and socializing they split up and went on stage. I was expecting something different because I didn't know some of them. They get sound check completed and introduced themselves to the crowd. They were also ITIS. The show was great just as fun as the music and the skits were so funny I was rolling laughing. Crude, rude and lude. Perfect music for the night.
