RE: What is the difference between mixing and mastering?
Splendid words man. I'm new to recording and have only started doing it last year. I got lost when 4 track recorders came out... The ping pong button span me right out....lol Ping Pong anyone??
So after one has mixed their track, how do you master it?
Thanks!
What happens in mastering is relative to the mix(es) itself. But overall it's optimising EQ, dynamics, and loudness. All 3 of these are related and kind of an integrated process in mastering.
I made a video about this very process. Let me know what you think!
Interesting stuff. Yes, it helped lots. I have a plugin similar to the Nova. It makes a huge difference.
Sweet channel man. Will be sure to stick around.
Also, I wrote a blog on the mastering process for a single song.
There is also much mastering content on my Steemit blog.
Let me know if you have any nuanced questions also! I'm here to help :-)
Cheers dude. Much appreciated.
Cheers, Jeff!
