Dmitri Shostakovich's Jazz Album

If you haven't listened to it yet you should. It will change your life! I started listening to Shostakovich's music a couple years ago starting with his Waltz no.2 which is another wonderful piece of orchestrated music. This jazz album contains a wonderfully overwhelming amount of violin and piano which I love along with the other obvious needs for an orchestra and jazz band.

Listening to Dmitri Shostakovich's music always gives me a huge pump of passion for my desire to learn more and more about music like himself. A little fun fact about himself, when Shostakovich started learning, he quickly learned the piano out of a great love for music and because of this his piano teacher grew nervous of being the student instead of the teacher and began making Shostakovich feel less of himself. However in the end Shostakovich overcame his teacher and began composing music at a very young age.
