Electric bass

Hello, good morning, a pleasure to say hello to the whole community of Steemit, I hope you are super, as I have already been sharing, a few weeks ago the course of Electric bass, to bring the knowledge of this great instrument this is my third course, already I've uploaded the first part which talks about what is a bass, parts of a bass, and the history of an electric bass, here is the [link](https://steemit.com/spanish/@israelbass/curso -of-low-electric-first-part) the second part that I shared with you, talk a little bit about the correct posture when playing an electric bass, both standing and sitting, talk about the basic notes of the electric bass and the first basic exercises of the electric bass, here is the link, from the post.

Today I want to share the third course of electric bass, since I have taken the task of teaching, and share my knowledge about it, I am very happy to share this because I like to teach, very soon they are a post about my work in the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra, teaching children of very young age and also young people, this great instrument, in my third course of electric bass we will see:

1: Musical scales, older

2: What is a metronome and how is it used?

3: Exercises of electric bass, intermediate level

1: Major musical scales, major

The musical scales are a set of notes in this case 7, which are arranged in a melodic way in order to give us a pattern to not get out of the musical harmony, in the absence of musical scales, could not touch several people harmonically since it directs everyone on the same scale, all sounding harmoniously.

The musical scales are made up of 7 notes, and come out of a mother scale, or called a chromatic scale, which is made up of all the musical notes, as we saw in the second course of electric bass, the main notes on the electric bass that were Do (C) CA, Re (D) CA, Mi (E) CA, Fa (F) CA, Sol (G) CA, The (A) CA, Si (B) CA, the abbreviated CA, means American encryption that is a substitution of written letters to write easier, for example it is easier to write C, than to write, Do, for that purpose the American cipher was created.

That is the first scale of many and to know all the scales it is necessary to know where they come from and for that we are going to see the mother scale, or chromatic scale which is used to take out the major and minor scales, the scale madree, or scale Chromatic is composed of 12 musical notes which are the ones we have just seen, but these are added, 5 notes more which are called sustained or altered, each note has its tone altered, for example: Note C, but this can be altered which would be altered C, this can be identified in this way C #, that would be altered, in the same way with all, except the notes M, and F, which have not altered, you can see in this image continuation the mother or chromatic scale

This means that to get the scale of C I need to start from the C note and choose the formula, taking tone, another tone and then semitone, as the form says this would be like this.

And so on with all the notes of the chromatic scale, we would get all the major scales that are what we need to be able to play harmonically in a musical group all governed to the same scale. then all the major scale.

Scale of Higher RE

MI Major Scale

Major FA Scale

Smallest Scaling Scale

LA Major scale

SI Major Scale

2: What is a metronome and what is it used for?

It is an electronic device that has the ability to measure sounds at exact times constantly, the metronome is the fundamental tool that every musician should have, if you want to be a good musician and be precise in musical time, the metronome is the key to that musicians do not get lost in music or time.

metronomo pura vida

The metronome is a very important part in music since it is the one that governs us the time, all music has its time, there are fast musics, slow music, that we all know but that function specifically fulfills a metronome, is to maintain a constant rhythm for a long time time, we said in the first course that it was a rhythm, it was the constant sequence of beats, notes etc, the human being does not have the ability naturally to maintain a sequence of sounds at the same time for a long time, we always tend to varear in time

This is where the metronome comes into play, the metronome gives us the ability to rule at the time of the music exactly, so as not to start fast in a music and end up slower or vice versa, with the daily practice of the metronome we can gradually go creating a metronome in our mind, the daily practice with the metronome gives us the experience of being able to play imagining that we listen to a metronome but that it is not physical, that is the goal of practicing with it, of achieving that the time offered by the metronome the first time is recorded in our memory and not depend on the most, but this is achieved with much practice.

In this way the metronome achieves multiple configurations to be able to play music at the constant speed that we want, it is good to practice all the electric bass drills that we saw in the second course and those that we are going to see today with the metronome to achieve a time precise and our mind is accustomed to keeping a constant rhythm.

3: Exercises of electric bass, intermediate level

I always say it in all my courses either by this means or personally with my students, the exercises are a fundamental part of learning, because if we have a lot of information and theory but we do not speed up our mind and our fingers we will never learn to play the electric bass , or any other instrument that we want to learn, for this we must accelerate the difficulty of exercises, but without forgetting the main basic level.

These exercises are for life, you never have to stop practicing, with your respective metronome because the more we practice the more agile our mind and neutral fingers practice is the key to learning any activity, today we will see 2 intermediate level exercises that At the beginning they are a bit difficult but with practice it will be very easy to execute them.

First exercise (spider)

This exercise belongs to the left hand and is executed in the fingerboard, the exercise has a level of difficulty since it works a lot of the alternations, it is very vital this exercises to make our fingers independent since at the beginning it is extremely complicated to move our fingers fast and where we want, the exercise is done in 4 frets of the fretboard can be in any position, consists in alternating our fingers with the strings, similar to the exercise we saw in the previous course, this exercise is done in this way.

In this we are going to alternate the second finger with the next string, thus touching 2 fingers on the first string and 2 fingers on the second, but alternating mind, in this way below.

second exercise (eighth-hand right)

This exercises, is fundamental for the right hand since it is the promoter of the speed on the right hand, which is the one that emits the sound, it consists of repeating eighth notes, with the index finger and the big finger, those in charge of playing the string , this exercise must be practiced compulsively with a metronome, configuring it in strokes to eighth notes, if you perform this exercise every day in a month you will see the incredible speed that you will have in your fingers.

Este ejercicios suele ser aburrido, pero es el mas importante para ejecutar el bajo eléctrico, esto a sido todo por hoy chicos y chicas espero les haya gustado, estos ejercicios se hacen de esta manera como podemos ver en la imagen.
