Wayback Wednesday - Blind Melon's 'No Rain'

It's that time of week for me again. #waybackwednesday I normally do this on other social media but have not been on my other social media in a while. This fits perfectly today seeing as there has been lots of rainy weather this season and this song just randomly popped up on my play list!
So, in honor of this being my first week on Steemit, I am going to try to bring in my #waybackwednesday where I will share a song, that is at least 20 years old, with all of you. Anyone who would like to join in is more than welcomed and encouraged to as I would love to see what others listen to!
'No Rain' was released off of Blind Melon's album in the early 1990's. I believe it was in 1992. The song was written before the band even formed by the bass guitarist, Brad Smith, and was originally written about his depressed girlfriend who always complained that it never rained and would stay in bed on really nice days. Those are the rumors, anyway. Later, Smith stated that the song was partly about him. So, in conclusion, maybe the song was about both of them?
Whatever the case may be, whenever you hear this song, if you were alive during this time, the image of the little girl dressed as a bee will forever be ingrained in your head. So enjoy today's song and if it's sunny and nice where you are today, get out and enjoy the day!

@slobberchops yes! I thought the video was a great one for the time it came out, though. Too bad Shannon Hoon is no longer with us. He really brought life to that song with so much emotion.
I don't remember this song, probably because I was just 3 years old :) It sounds more like a song from the 60's though. Definitely right up my alley.

Great song! I always really liked their song "Change" as well. We have been in a drought here and just finally got some rain, so we are pretty happy!

It has been quite rainy! This is a great song, but the song I have heard a lot recently has been Toto’s “Africa,” because sometimes it does rain down in Africa.
