Hologram Midnight

Here is a song truly encapsulating that new buzzword for my generation, the "Xennials". We had an analog childhood, and a digital adolescence. We grew up on the first clunky rhythms of early synthesizers, and impenetrable walls of mullet hairspray; we started on BBSes way before AOL; we develop insane technology, but can live for decent amounts of time without our smartphones glued to our faces. This track blends influences of 80s synthesis and epic cinema with modern industrial machine noises and the ever so current, "EDM Drop". I designed most of the synth patches in Xfer Serum, but also incorporated organic field recordings including the sounds of me washing metal dishes in the sink.
