7-Day Music Challenge Your Top Albums #6 Blind Guardian - Somewhere Far Beyond

Another day , another challenge. That is great cause I love challenges.

And since it is a music challenge, I love it even more.

Number six is another of those old albums. When they are first released you say they are great, but you realize their importance as time goes by and they grow inside you.

Blind Guardian - Somewhere Far Beyond

Somewhere Far Beyond is the fourth studio album by German power metal band Blind Guardianand it was released in 1992.

The cover artwork was created by Andreas Marschall, who drew the artwork for other Blind Guardian's releases (Tales from the Twilight World, Nightfall in Middle-Earth, etc.) and it has become a trademark of Blind Guardian releases.

This album found Blind Guardian maturing and becoming one of the leaders of the European Power Scene and rightfully so.

I remember getting the Japan Version cd because it had a couple of bonus tracks. Back in the day music companies always put bonus tracks in Japan CDs for the reason that in the land of rising sun CDs were more expensive and this way also created collectible items.

I love all the songs, but this album has a song that stands out. They play it in all of their concerts and everyone knows the lyrics by heart. We metal heads are not always very fond of ballads. This is an exception. Enjoy !!!
