Kraftwerk - The Man-Machine (Full Album + Bonus Tracks) [1978]

in #music7 years ago

Kraftwerk's Man Machine was actually one of the first albums I bought back in 1978 - has wonderful hidden depths within apparently simple soundscapes! The Man-Machine (German: Die Mensch-Maschine) is the seventh studio album by German electronic music band Kraftwerk, released in May 1978. It includes the singles "The Model" and "The Robots". The first German pressing was on red vinyl.

Upon its release, the NME stated: "The Man-Machine stands as one of the pinnacles of 1970s rock music."[1] Although the album was initially unsuccessful on the UK Albums Chart, it reached a new peak position of number nine in February 1982,[2] becoming the band's second highest-peaking album in the United Kingdom after Autobahn (1974).[3] The Man-Machine was certified gold by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) on 15 February 1982, denoting shipments in excess of 100,000 copies.

Keep the good work up! Thanks for sharing @icedrum

Thank you hokieu :D

Great album! I owned it as well on vinyl.

Mmmm vinyl - love it! ... apparently making a huge comeback! - Sales of vinyl in 2016 reached a 25-year high as consumers young and old have once again embraced physical formats of music.

More than 3.2m LPs were sold last year, a rise of 53% on last year and the highest number since 1991 when Simply Red’s Stars was the bestselling album. This was also the first year that spending on vinyl outstripped that spent on digital downloads.
