Song of the Day - King’s Cross (Hot Chip Remix) by Tracey Thorn

I’ll keep this one short. Tracey Thorn has one of the best voices in Electronic music in my opinion. Yes, maybe she isn’t the name everyone knows, but as the vocalist for Everything But The Girl, she scored a massive top 40 crossover hit that honestly, still sounds pretty great. Or maybe you know her from her timeless performance on Massive Attack’s Protection. Her solo work hasn’t scaled the same height of popularity of the those songs, but that isn’t to say that she hasn’t turned out some memorable moments. Here, Hot Chip turns in a quirky groove that has surprising emotional weight once her trademark vulnerable vocal performance kicks in.
