The dot.
Steemians friends, welcome back!
Yet another appointment on music theory; today we are talking about the dot that we can sometimes find just after a note.
What is it for? Let's see it together.
The dot increases the value of the note followed by exactly the respective half value.
So if for example we take a Minima note (2/4) and put a dot next to it, it will take its value + half, so it will become a Minimum of 3/4.
An Integer note (4/4) followed by a dot will take a value of 6/4 (4 of the note + 2 added by the dot).
The procedure applies to all notes and is equally valid for breaks.
Below I have created a table that shows examples, both for notes and for rest.
As you see friends, it is not particularly difficult, they are simple mathematical sums, it is a little more complicated to play them in the right way, in time. For this reason, a fundamental thing in learning to play is solfeggio. We will also discuss that in the lessons to come.

Ennesimo appuntamento sulla teoria musicale; oggi parliamo del punto che a volte possiamo trovare appena dopo una nota.
A cosa serve? Vediamolo assieme.
Il punto accresce il valore della nota a cui fa seguito esattamente del rispettivo valore a metà.
Quindi se ad esempio prendiamo una nota Minima (2/4) e gli mettiamo accanto un punto, essa prenderà il suo valore + metà, quindi diventerà una Minima di 3/4.
Una nota Intero (4/4) seguita da un punto, prenderà un valore di 6/4 (4 della nota + 2 aggiunti dal punto).
Il procedimento si applica per tutte le note ed è valido allo stesso modo anche per le Pause.
Qui sotto ho realizzato una tabella che riporta degli esempi, sia per le note, sia per le pause.
Come vedete amici, non è particolarmente difficile, sono semplici somme matematiche, è un po' più complicato suonarle nel modo giusto, a tempo. Per questo, una alla base dell'imparare a suonare è il solfeggio. Tratteremo anche quello nelle lezioni a venire.

sono sempre stata convinta che il solfeggio sia la base per suonare dignitosamente...io lo definisco la grammatica della musica e nel passato ho anche litigato con qualcuno perchè tende a fare studiare i propri allievi senza solfeggio....come??? prova a fare un tema in italiano sconoscendo grammatica e sintassi!!!
