J. Dilla Carried onto the stage for one of his last performances 🍩
Hello friends and family!
This performance, live in Paris with Frank n Dank in the year 2005 has to be the most remarkable one. It's so amazing to see him, keeping his spirit but it breaks my heart at the same time.
Dilla, despite his poor health, wanted to be on stage. So they carried him up in his wheelchair. He even brought his mom on stage, quoting her as "where he got his funk from". The clip is only 10 minutes short, but you get a good grip on why this man is the ultimate G.O.A.T. Though weak and visibly more fragile, he kept going. Watch the crowd as they hype him up, feeling and sharing the passion and dedication Dilla represented. I never got the chance to see him perform live. Those people are hella lucky.

It's true that there was one last show in Gent later that year which was technically the last show, but I could not find any good footage. And I searched for hours and hours...
oh my... seeing him struggle with the weight of the water bottle is cruel... the passion to get up there and rocking it from his wheelchair... crazy...
his mom is so cute, though!
Exactly! His mum is a brave woman, keeping his company.. knowing that he will die before she will.
I'm glad that there is footage we can enjoy @fraenk!
