I was actually introduced to Prepix by my little brother who was head of a dance troupe in college. He was astounded, as I am today, that more Koreans and people in general did not know the group, since within the dance and entertainment world Prepix stands at the top. If you Youtube search their performances worldwide, you’ll understand why.
Prepix is a dance group, to put it simply, that is composed of Korea’s best hip-hop, contemporary, and break-dancers as well as top choreographers who also perform. Their accolades are innumerable and are known for their ongoing innovation.
But what sets Prepix apart from nearly all dance groups in the world is their integral role in the pop music industry in Korea and abroad. They are arguably the biggest influence, directly and indirectly, in the rise of highly choreographed music videos and training regiments for pop groups. They are the go-to specialists for new dance and help train aspiring stars from a very young age, even performing with them in debut videos.

They’ve capitalized on this position as well, offering dance classes in Gangnam for aspiring dancers. One of my bucket list items is to jam with the group. Let me know if you want to tag along!
