'The Oceans of ΛZMΛRÉ' - New Original Music for Steem Monsters Music/Lore Contest! Electronic/Instrumental + Walkthrough!
So this is my submission
for this week's Steemmonsters Music and Lore Contest! I decided to combine this with timed songwriting challenge! This was done in 30 minutes, I actually came in at 29 minutes, so I was pretty stoked! I think it could maybe use a different instrument to add a melody line that comes in and out, but I didn't have time to really start that, so I decided to roll with this version.

Track 1 comes in a bit later
in the song, adding the bell/beepy melody throughout. I've attached a screenshot of the Blue/Green section below. Track 2 is really the basis for the full song, using a cool mallet synth tone and a 1/16th arpeggiator. The Green sections drone around a C, using a sus4, a minor, and a major version of the C chord at certain pages. In the Purple parts, we move from our Vii to the Vi, up to Cmin (tonic) and then Eb, before repeating. Finally, we have the Yellow section, which does some modal interchange, using an Amin to Fadd4 to Cmaj. The second set of 4 bars in yellow use the F first, then to Gmaj, and finally Cminor again.

Track 1, Bell/Beepy Melody.
Track 1, Bell/Beepy Melody.Track 3 plays the basic
chord tones for the chords in Track 2, following along for most of the track adding a bit of mid-low/low range. Tracks 4 and 5 are the same drum kit, with Track 4 adding our kicks, and Track 5 the snares. Track 6 is our hihats, utilizing a different kit. Finally we have the bassline in Track 7, which is pictured below. I really like this bass synth, I used it in yesterday's song too, and had to do it again here. The portamento effect is just amazing.

The last 3 tracks are grouped
together, and consist of some audio clips used for transitions. These were supposed to be temporary, but alas, with the time limit, I didn't get to edit them much. They work well enough though, but imagine a big swell at those points, haha.
