The Faint - Agenda Suicide

The Faint are an Indie band turned

synth-pop/dance-punk band, formed in Omaha, NE in 1995. Connor Oberst from Bright Eyes was actually one of the founding members, although he left shortly after the band formed. The first Faint album is super indie rock, 2 guitars, bass and drums, and a lot of angst. However, each subsequent release was totally unique, incorporating elements of synth-pop initially (before becoming fully electronic for a time), and then morphing into more of a "dance-punk" band, incorporating the synth/electronic stuff with traditional rock elements..

Listen to Agenda Suicide by The Faint here.

This song appeared on their 3rd album,

Danse Macabre, which was released in 2001. This is the most electronic/EDM oriented of their albums, mixing a sort of a gothy/punk aesthetic with ideas from techno and the growing electronic scene of the early '00s. This is the opening track, and really sets the tone to the album: super dark, with driving synth-bass parts, and really catchy, interesting choruses. If you like this, check out the full album, I promise it will be worth it.

Enjoy today's song! Thanks for checking out my blog, and Steem On!
