Scarface - No Tears

Scarface is a rapper

and producer, who rose to fame through his group Geto Boys. He was born in 1970, in Houston, Texas, and by the late '80s had become an integral part of the group, along with Bushwick Bill and Willie D. While NWA had become synonymous with the gangster rap scene on the West Coast, Geto Boys established a serious career of their own in Texas and helped to bring up a lot of young, upcoming artists in their area.

Listen to No Tears by Scarface here.

This song appeared on Scarface's

1994 solo album, The Diary, and was featured in the movie Office Space (along with a couple of Geto Boys tracks). I first heard this album when I was living in Reno, and got immediately hooked on it. His flow and lyrics are second to none, and the raw emotion behind the track is almost scary at times. The beat is great too, a classic '90s sort of hiphop song, before digital beats came to prominence later in the decade.

Enjoy today's song! Thanks for checking out my blog, and Steem On!
