Despite what I said in yesterday's

Track 1, New B Part
post, I didn't completely alter the instrumentation yet, though I think Version 4 will definitely be like that. I think this turned out to be more interesting than the previous versions though, so I'm glad I stuck with these instruments, at least for one more edit. I completely altered the structure of the song, removing the new B section from yesterday's version, and adding a new one. The song now feels a little more like a complete tune, as I also had same layering changes, moving from more sparse, 'lighter' sections into heavier, more filled sections. As you can see in the overview screenshot above, there is a little more variation in just the general shape of the midi map. Track 1 was the chords from the previous versions, but with an alternate instrument from LABS. Track 2 is the arpeggiated line, which has made it through each version of this track.

Track 3, Punchy Bass

Listen to Eleven3 here...

Track 3 is a new instrument, which plays the above progression,

Track 8, Bass 2
sticking to root notes, and then a little ascending line. This instrument has a really awesome, punchy, almost gunshot like sound that made for a great addition, and was initially going to be the only bass part. Track 4 is another chord track, with a new LABS instrument. Tracks 5, 6 and 7 are the new drums, which just use a 909. I figured some basic, drum machine sound might fight the vibe, and they're pretty heavy sounding, so that turned out to work. I also simplified the progression dramatically. Track 8 is the actual bass line, which adds a sort of subby bass, which is just consistently playing, though there is some pretty heavy sidechain compression on it. Track 10 only plays over the second B part, and was just an attempt to have that part stand out. Finally, we have Track 11, which is used for transitions, swelling upwards to an F#, then bending downwards as it fades out.

Hope you enjoy the changes thus far! Thanks for listening!
