This is another random

creation of mine, from last night. I began with the piano parts, and sort of just built it up from there. However, once I added the 2 bass parts, it really started to come together. Still not sure how I feel about a few tracks, but let's go through what I have currently and see what be changed.

Listen to Bear Dog here.

Tracks 1 and 2 are our piano parts

which mirror each other. Each section is 5 bars of 4/4, with the RED playing a big spread voicing chord (Cmin6sus4 I suppose it could be called) every 2 measures, then 1 time for the 5th measure. Then we move to the BLUE section where that whole chord just moves up a half step.

Track 3 is the WOOOMP

bass sound that comes in (lol), which just plays a C for the RED and a Bb for the BLUE. Tracks 4 and 5 are the drums, with Track 5 providing an extra, more acoustic sounding kick tone and hihats, and Track 4 using an electric kit for both kicks and snares. The layering worked nicely.

Listen to Bear Dog here.

Trck 6 is essentially

the rhythm from the drums, copy-pasta'd into a synth, and arranged to be in key. This provides that 80s sort of bass synth sound. Tracks 7 and 9 mirror each other, with 7 using a toy piano tone, and 9 a buzzy, higher synth sound. The progression can be seen below.

Track 8 comes in just adding some

harmony with 5ths and 3rds in the background. Track 10 is next, which is a wobbly bass sound, played in the mid range, and just plays a C and G over the Red, and D and A over the Blue sections. Track 11 is an audio track which adds some weird digital sounds and rhythms into the background.

Last up is Track 12,

which comes in playing a few C's (Red) and D's and A's (Blue), using a synth sound over the snare hits in each measure. Cool little addition, which initially happened by accident. Not sure if this would be in a final version, but in the meantime, it doesn't suck, lol.

I hope you enjoy today's walkthrough! Thanks for checking out the tunes!
