The Great Jimmy Page, one of my favorite guitar legends !!

But first let me recap !! I posted awhile back an explanation on how I have been learning to play electric guitar while living on a boat. The powering up of all my equipment while living clearly of the Grid ! its here if perhaps you missed it, might even be time for a few more upvotes if you felt to inclined ! ; - )

The 6 things you will need to learn electric guitar when living off the Grid !

The post seemed to get some positive attention and so I have decided to share some more of my musical experience while living on the ocean.

Well its a long and winding road learning to play the electric guitar, its started a little more than a year ago back in Norway when I decided to finally get to grips with this instrument that i had been picking up and playing here and there on my travels around the world. This decision i made has been a great thing for me personally, its been a blast for me truly. As I find a true sense of calm and peace when i let my self fall into the line of music making and the vibe of electric power and frequency. I can,t not tell you how good it feels to finally unlock the secrets of this instrument which for me is the most Iconic of all instruments in the field of good old Blues based Rock,n,Roll. I really am slowly starting to find my feet, or was that more hands ??

It was so tough in the beginning i can tell you. My fingers wanted so badly to please, but the memory and muscle control took me some time to build up. But now I begin to become one with the Black beast, namely my Washburn OE30 semi acoustic guitar. She now responds in ways which I could not imagine months ago and all my perseverance and well yeah, hard work has truly begun to pay off. I did not think i said i believe, that I am Jimi Hendrix, by any stretch of the imagination. But I am most certainly me and i have begun to find the sound I was aiming at in the beginning when i was busily learning my 5 scales of Pentatonic solo patterns . A reason for me to celebrate and be proud, so maybe a good reason for this post to share with you my recent advancement and success in this domain so eagerly desired.

So being on a boat living on the water off the coast off the west coast of Africa I have been confronted by the true problem of finding like minded guitar players with which to fuse and advance into the deeper stuff coming up with my progression. So I desperately needed a way of being able to increase my sound by layering. This can be achieved by using a looper pedal. A pedal which basically will record a partition of playing and recording it. Which then plays this said piece of music back ad finitum. i decided to chose this looper pedal as not only does it record loops but it also provides just unimaginable sound effects through its dedicated digital delay filters. So because of this brilliant pedal I became a one man band !!

FlashBackX4 by TC Electronic, Denmark., everything you budding guitarists out there might need to make fabulous atmospheric sounds with your guitar !

I am thanks to this pedal free to add tlayer upon layer, idea upon idea, allowing me to build the thing up to the point where you have this tremendously complex and intricate sound of 20 separate recordings layered in time one upon the other. Its so cool and for a lone guitarist it enables you to experiment with all manners of creative possibilities you might have in your mind. There is no way I could get the same results if I were working with a group of 7 guitarist to get this sound, there would not be the room in my cabin for them and their equipment, more importantly it would be so much harder to get someone else to play that which only really can hear, they would not know what I was really looking for in sound texture and structure. This little box of musical magic does just that. It is my palette on which I may mix my musical couloirs and feelings while painting my latest creative musical picture.I hope now to make more and more as I fine tune the thing to perfection in time !

I have been since spending hours on end since i bought this pedal, exploring the deepest and darkest depths of the thing and it truly blowing me away as well as my neighbors no doubt !But luckily for me or should I say more them, being on a boat my neighbors are far and few between and never stay more than a week !!

So i am going to now put up my latest recording made on my little boat in the middle of the sea and the night !
I have added a 90BPM drum backing track which i found and uploaded from Youtube and I also added a simple four chord organ sprogression made with my all new USB Midi keyboard. So this track has the droning yet rhythmic trippy rock sound I love to make. I hope you like it !

A special dedication goes out here to our own @verbal-d, who incidentally has just become a father and who has shown real enthusiasm for what i am doing. So i hope he digs this new one too !! Big Ups to him and his all new family ! ; - ) So here is my latest track hot out of my floating music laboratory !!

Peace to All, Steem On and may the Force always be with you !

Great to see a new normal post from you :)

Hey there @smailer thanks to you for stopping by So what prey is normal for me then i,d like to know ? Its a slow process which will come with focus i guess !! I shalll be starting my sailing adventures soon I think. I hope you will be as ever faithfull in your presence on my posts !! Steem On! ; - )

Pretty trippy sounding.
I'm wondering if you know about guitar pro. It's a tab program but it now has a pretty realistic instrument engine. It has been great for me over the years to get the accompanying instruments written down so I can play along with things I write. You can also input via midi input so if you have that ability with your keyboard, you could write accompanying bass, organ, or whatever tracks on your keyboard without trying to figure out how to tab it out. The drums sound pretty realistic now so you could even save them as a wav file and use them in recordings.

hey thanks for the info @stephen.king989. Could be worth a look that yes !! So thanks for stopping by and I am happy you find the music trippy as I intended. ; - ) Its all kind of new being faced with a thing like midi control !! I think the problem of latency is more the issue, as there is the famous delay between press and sound on the keyboard.Already Iam not a drummer and i think the drums really need to be tight for the structuring and to remain credible in time and sound no?? A friend showed me how to rectify this , but I am using a VST Host app which allows me to execute the VST Effects, namely a great selection of old rotary style organs, I always listen to other,s as they can really accelerate with their experience a thing you try and get done. Thanks again !!
