This is a good punk / early new wave song, and I also like 1 2 X U. Also like the 1 2 X U cover by Minor Threat. Pretty much like every song ever recorded by Minor Threat. :)
I haven't heard much else by Wire, but if you say they went in a Goth direction then I'll check that out. Thanks!
Both great versions of the song! The cover was the first version I heard actually, I had always thought it was a Minor Threat song haha.
Yeah sort of gothy/post-punk, not specifically goth, but definitely straddling the line between punk/goth/post-punk.
