Definitely a cool band with a retro 80s sound. I discovered Ladytron and Freezepop around the same time, thanks to Pandora. I had not heard This Is Our Sound before, but yes, it's pretty much their sound. They do something similar with a spoken word over the same lyrics, in Playgirl with the line, choking on cigarettes will get you alone.
Love that song too. Yeah this band and The Faint were my introduction into the retro-synth-pop sort of scene of the '00s.
