Funkitecht - Stargazer (FREE 2 USE)

Stargazer as the name suggests is quite a dreamy "space" track. I had just come back from a holiday in Fiji and it was upon returning to Australia that I had been inspired to write a new collection of music but this time exploring more "fanciful" soundscapes like galaxy/epic environment type ideas, I suspect it was due to the Fijian environment that I felt such dream-like inspirations as I've never experienced anywhere as removed and as raw as Fiji.

The introductory guitar line is definitely a bit "epic" XD and I thought that this helped sum up the scope of the track before you get into the more groove based sections.

Simple in its design, I focused heavily on long drawn out notes and swells to give a sense of exploration in the track with soft lead lines to help maintain much of the tracks progression and not feel imposing on the listener as much of the pitch could irritate if volume levels are too high.

It was during the second "act" of the song that I feel the track really starts to come into its own with a lead line that uses as a staccato effect with delay creating a nice descending melody (Ironic I guess as staccato essentially requires that notes be disjointed from one another whilst delay acts almost as a slow link).

Overall its a piece that I particularly enjoyed and was a different sound altogether from what I am used to composing.
