In recent years, the Kickstarter platform has presented a number of interesting home projects to the world. MAG-LEV Audio started the Kickstarter campaign in October 2016 and their goals were to collect 300,000 Dollars ( 270,000 Euros ), which would help them realize their idea - making the first levitating turntable in the world. Its peculiarity is that the vinyl plate float in the air with the aid of a magnetic pad and their product is very futuristic. Also, their gramophone is combined with superb design and a different user experience, as we are accustomed to turntables.

For over 140 years, supernatural Slovenian engineers prepared his most advanced technological incarnation since the first turntable. The MAG-LEV Audio gramophone is actually the first turntable in the world, which uses the advantages of magnetic to "stabilize" vinyl records during playback. Before the start of the play, the base is placed on four brackets in order to make the plate easier to place in the correct position. By pressing the button you can change the playback speed from 33.3 to 45 turns per minute. At the end of the playback, the recorder raises the lever itself, which protects the vinyl from the scratch, while extending the life of the gramophone head.

Why does the central part of the turntable float?

The developers have been disturbed by the existing turntables that the shaking of the floor and consequently the base on which the turntable is placed often results in the needle skipping and interrupting the music playback. That's why they came up with the idea that the part where the spinning plate can simply float in the air, which allows a strong magnetic field. Playback is, therefore, more stable and efficient.

''At MAG LEV Audio we love innovation and music. We were searching for a way to give people a better, new way to experience vinyl records. By pushing the frontier of audio technology, we were able to integrate the uplifting experience of music into the turntable design itself, bringing the feeling of zero gravity into your living room.''

The team has so far collected over $ 550,000 on Kickstarter. Over 700 companies and individuals have been invested. It is worth mentioning that the price of the device at Kickstarter is about 800 $, and in free sale, the product will be available in the future for about 1400 Dollars.
