Interestingly, reggae is in some way the progenitor of hip-hop, trip-hop, drum-end-bass, dubstep and techno. Music in this style combines relaxation, protest and at the same time causes a desire to dance under it. Such an interesting combination is due to the origin of the reggae culture - Jamaica. In general in the African Muses. culture music and dance are closely intertwined with events in the political arena of the country. That's why music often expresses protest and a call to resist the system, overwhelming blacks, and simple and uncomplicated dance movements come from ancient times, where they were invented by African slaves. The reggae style is usually dominated by guitars (bass and electro), percussion and sometimes wind instruments. Most often, the lead is the bass guitar, the rest of the instruments subtly and gracefully weave their many-voiced chorus into her style of performance. Reggae arose in Jamaica in the 60s. But it gained popularity as much in the early 70s.

The main symbol and the most famous reggae representative is Bob Marley (Robert Nesta Marley). It is thanks to him that reggae know far beyond Jamaica. After graduation, Robert devotes all his spare time to music. Largely due to Joe Higgs, who gave free lessons of vocals to Bob and his friend, there was a career, this undoubtedly talented guy. At the age of 18, Bob made his debut with his hit "Judge Not". Together with his friends, who were also Higgs students, Marley created the band "The Teenagers", whose name changed several times and eventually acquired the final "The Wailers". The group includes Peter Tosh, Bunny Livingston, Junior Braithwaite, Cherry Green and Beverly Kelso. In the future, the composition of the group was changed and reduced to a trio, and later - in 1966, despite the success, the group broke up completely. Apparently this had so much impact on Bob Marley that he did not pay attention to music for several years, but worked as an auxiliary worker at a factory in the United States. However, he found the strength - he returned to Jamaica and recreated "The Wailers" and even organized his own record company "Tuff Gong", which, however, was not successful. However, Bob Marley gained international fame only after leaving Livingston and Tosh. He included a female trio in the group (the trio included his wife Rita Marley).

After that, "The Wailers", together with the mentor Bob-Higgsom, go on tour in Africa, Europe, North and South America. Thanks to this tour of the song, Bob Marley and his band become recognized reggae leaders, and in the UK their songs conquer the TOPs. In Jamaica, Bob became a cult figure, whose political and religious performances, the public perceived as the revelations of a saint. In December 1976, he was assassinated. However, despite injuries in the arm and chest, he spent all the planned concerts, motivated by the fact that "the world is too much evil" and he "has no right to waste even one day for nothing". In 1978 he gave a concert to prevent a civil war - "One Love Peace Concert". At the end of his speech, he asks to rise on the stage of political leaders of the opposing sides, where they shook hands.

In July 1977, the singer found a malignant tumor on the toe. In 1980, Bob Marley performed with a concert in Zimbabwe, which gained independence. Immediately after Zimbabwe, goes on tour to Germany and gathers with a concert program to America. However, his tour was interrupted by a loss of consciousness during a run in the central park of New York. In winter, there was an ineffective treatment in Munich, and as a result of chemotherapy had to say goodbye to the famous dreadlocks. His last days, Bob Marley wanted to spend in Jamaica, but because of the deteriorating state of health, the flight from Germany to Jamaica, had to be interrupted in Miami. On May 11, 1981, the famous performer and musician died - despite intensive treatment, he died in the hospital.

Bob Marley was buried in Jamaica. The funeral was held in compliance with the laws of Rastafarianism. In his crypt lie the guitar, a football, a bunch of marijuana and a ring that the Ethiopian prince gave him.
