I live in Sofia and most of the Bulgarians I know are not into Chalga at all. The texts are generally sexist in nature and the music is not particularly sophisticated or nice sounding in my opinion.
i hear that often, same as Hip Hop right? Totally sexist and shit sound - but why is it that popular or everywhere? And how you define a split between chalga shit music and good Bulgarian music? Difficult for people from abroad to get the difference
