Some Quiet Piano Music to Calm Your Busy Day

in #music7 years ago

An evening of reflection can be found in the music or Erik Satie. As one of our French composers and pianist, satie was though of as someone who measured sounds and as a music composer was a minimalist in his use of notes. why waste extra notes when it can be expressed with less. Being a contributor to minimalism, repetitive music and surrealism, he made his mark as a early 20th century composer. Satie lived a short life being born in 1866 and leaving us in 1925 after years if alcohol consumption and cirrhosis of the liver.

The selection i have chosen for tonight is called Gymnopédie No.1 was written in about 1887. I remember having to learn this selection in college. It is a fabric of music history and a way to end your day. The music seams to paint a feeling of spiritual reflection and so I included these as topics in the search on steemit.

My gift to you tonight. Peace to you my friends.

I hope you liked the music.
